| With the economy the
way it is these days we’re all looking for a ‘good deal.’ The following
is a quick list of area ‘Deals’ which I’ve compiled over time.
(BTW: For the cynics reading this: I make nothing from this; I believe
we’re all in this together and sharing information of value with others
is the right thing to do.) If you know of other deals let me know

is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing
food relief. The Food Box is available in a quantity that can fit into
a medium-sized box at $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different than
the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an
average retail value of approximately $60. There are no qualifications,
minimums, income restrictions, or applications. Everyone is encouraged
to participate. I think this is now administered through the Baptist
Church in Rockford. For more details consult:
